Studying political science at Københavns Universitet (the University of Copenhagen).
August 2004 Current:

On-and-off full-time employee at NordSign, where Ive been responsible for the administration of in-house systems and for the development of a number of different web services and applications mostly based upon Visual Basic, ASP and my own platform on top of AOLserver. Some of these systems have also been implemented at Printfactory A/S, Flaghold in Finland, and the Swedish-based company System-Text AB.
Apart from programming, it was my responsibility to set up and maintain Linux-based servers hosting both intranet and internet services for these companies.
NordSign's publicly available quotation calculation and management system, which I implemented and maintained in multiple versions − both in ASP and Tcl − was awarded a special prize by the Danish E-Commerce Award in 2001.
October 2003 - May 2004:
Taking the Diploma in Journalism & Media Studies short term evening course at Dublin Business School.
January 2003 - March 2004:
Technical Support Representative at Xerox Europe in Dublin; supporting a range of more than 130 different printers, copiers, faxes, and scanners on Windows, Linux and Mac.
At Xerox I have also been an integral part of the development of intranet services − i.e. the online employee directory, PeopleBook − based on ASP and Microsoft SQL Server.
September 2001 - January 2003:
Started the company InfoTouch Aps along with two others. InfoTouch specializes in software solutions for information terminals and in securing publicly available computers. I have been responsible for the development of web based information systems for customers and for programming InfoTouch Manager, our software for information terminals.
Other than the maintenance and support of the Microsoft.NET-based InfoTouch Manager 2 my role in InfoTouch has been discontinued after relocating to Dublin in January 2003.
January September 2002:
Served my compulsory military service as a conscientious objector at the public library in Hedensted and as a substitute teacher at the school in Løsning.
During this time I continued being full-time employed and maintained my commitment in my own company, InfoTouch.
June - July 2000:
Finalist in the ArsDigita Prize Contest 2000 a prize, which was awarded to teenagers, who had developed and programmed an outstanding, database-backed web service. My service Has It Been Updated? was based on Perl and MySQL but has been reworked for a Danish Tcl and PostgreSQL version since then.
Being a finalist, I attended classes in web service development at MIT and the ArsDigita bootcamp during the summer of 2000.
April 2000 September 2001:
Freelance programmer and ASP site developer at NordSign, developing the first version of the company's quote calculation system in co-operation with an in-house designer.
August 1998 June 2001:
Attended Horsens Amtgymnasium, a Danish mathematical gymnasium. I graduated with straight As scoring the second highest grade in the entire school and I was awarded a scholarship due to non-curricular activities in the Activity Committee. My elective subjects mirror my main hobbies; they were social science, high-level math and computer science.
Personally:
I am a twenty-one year-old Dane living in Dublin. After having tried on a few very interesting projects at home, Im really excited about working abroad and about meeting new people and challenges in Ireland.
I have been developing web pages professionally as a freelancer for more than three years now, which means that I have extensive experience with quite a few programming languages. I am fully equipped to develop advanced web services in Tcl, Perl, PHP, ASP, and Visual Basic, and I have used common technologies such as JavaScript, WSH, XML and CSS along with tools like PostgreSQL, Oracle, AOLserver and OpenACS for the past few years.
This demonstrates that Im always very keen to learn new things and to figure out how to combine different platforms and tools to reach the finish line.
My background in programming has provided me with a great understanding of the common structures of computer systems and programs. I have become quick to adopt knowledge of new platforms, and the experience from my own IT company and from servicing many companies on web related projects has also provided me with a good knowledge of both customer support and sales. Naturally, working in customer support at Xerox has further strengthened my support skills.
